The Monthly Fourth Thursday Hand-Up is and will always be our first program that we have introduced since the start 13 years ago. We have no intentions of canceling this program. It saddened us when we came close to having cancel during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It has been 13 years and we have not missed a month to this date!

The next Fourth Thursday Hand-Up will be held on June 23, 2022. It is open to anyone within the Denver Metro Area. It does not require an appointment. Just come down to 21st & Stout in the downtown area during the hours of 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

We are always in need of Volunteers  that are able to offer their valuable time to us. If you are able to Volunteer, please meet us at 21st & Stout at 8:00a on Thursday morning.

What Is The
Fourth Thursday Hand-Up

The Fourth Thursday Hand-Up is a program that started about thirteen years ago on the fourth Thursday of each month to where the Volunteers of Feeding Denver's Hungry helps those in need of food services. Regardless of their "home" status, Feeding Denver's Hungry will help anyone and everyone on this day. No reservation or appointment is needed, just meet us at 21st and Stout in Downtown Denver and your household will receive something from our line of free food and groceries. Feeding Denver's Hungry was started 13 years ago by us helping to provide food to the less deserved that lived on the streets. 

We have not asked for anything special from the local community in helping us to keeping this event happening each month.

It has been 13 Years since we have started this program, we are not going to let COVID or anything else stop us!

On the Fourth Thursday of each month, you can find us along the blocks of 21st and Stout of Downtown Denver.. 

We are always looking for Volunteers and Donations! 

Special Events & Offerings

From time to time, Feeding Denver's Hungry will partner with special government and private groups to offer special programs to the community. When we do this, we ask that you read all of the information that has been presented to us as we are presenting that information to you. 

Please note that the Special Event can be anything from offering free clothes, free jackets, free winter apparel, additional free food, free room at a hotel/motel, free anything. Sometimes, a Special Event offerings may be discounted items. The offerings that are provided at a Special Event is always in the discretion of the group/organization that is providing this Special Event.

We are always striving and working with many of our partners to try and help make things better for the next person.

Volunteering for Fourth Thursday Hand-Up

Feeding Denver's Hungry is always looking for Volunteers to help on  the Fourth Thursday of each month for the Fourth Thursday Hand-Up. for this event, Volunteers can be of any age. All we ask is that if a Volunteer is under the age of 16 years old, there is a parent and/or legal guardian accompanying them and/or willing to approve their Volunteer time.

The Denver Health Department has ended the mask requirements; however, we do suggest that all Volunteers to continue wearing a face mask or face covering. We do and will provide gloves and hand sanitizers to those who request it.

If you have any questions and./or comments, please submit a Contact-Us form and one our dedicated volunteer specialists will respond within 48 hours or less!

Volunteering Age Limit

We do request that all Volunteers be the age of 16 years old or older. If a Volunteer is under the age of 16 years old, we may request for a parent/guardian be present and/or for them to sign a waiver approving this volunteer time.

Parking Situation

There is parking available all around the different blocks that are close to us.

There are some spots that are available for parking on the streets, you will just need to watch for the Street Sweeping day(s) and if the spot is a meter or not and how long may you park in that spot.

There are also a couple parking lots close by that you might want to utilize. Please remember that the parking lots will and do control their own rates for parking.
